Classic Is Live Worldwide
League Classic activated globally on July 29, 2026 at 8:00 AM PT alongside Patch 26.15 — the first patch of Season 3 Act One. The mode is accessible directly from your existing League of Legends client under Featured Game Modes. No separate download, no new account, and champion ownership carries over from live League.
Riot Games confirmed three queue types at launch: Classic Draft with positional preferences, Co-op vs AI for learning, and custom games for private lobbies. ARAM Mayhem Classic-ish runs as a limited-time companion mode during launch celebrations on ARAM Mayhem Classic-ish.
Day-One Meta Snapshot
Early live data from the first hours confirms Ahri, Caitlyn, Jarvan IV, Leona, Lux, Lee Sin, and Master Yi among the highest-performing picks — aligning with PBE testing and MSI showmatch priorities on Overall Tier List. Nasus top, Sona support, and Garen top show strong win rates in longer Classic games.
Pre-rework kits like AP Sion and pre-2012 Katarina remain viable off-meta picks with dedicated guides on Old Sion Stunlock and Katarina 2012 Kit. Ban priority in Draft should target Jarvan IV jungle and Leona support until the meta stabilizes.
Classic Pass and Progression Go Live
Classic Levels progression begins fresh for every player on launch day. Masteries unlock at Classic Level 4, The Council voting access follows shortly after, and Summoner's Journey ranks start at Salt once you reach Level 10 on Classic Levels.
Season 1 Classic Pass tracks activate with free and premium cosmetic rewards including Classic Skins, Portraits, and Chromas on Classic Skins. Free Classic Skin defaults confirmed in FeralPony July 17 Response apply automatically — no purchase required for base Classic visuals.
