Classic Jungle Camps Guide
League Classic jungle guide: wraith camps, buff buddies, faster respawns, harsher camp damage, and Wriggle's Lantern meta.
Old Jungle Layout Returns
League Classic restores the Season 3 jungle layout including wraith camps that modern Summoner's Rift removed. Buff camps have buddy monsters nearby—smaller camps surrounding Blue and Red buffs that junglers clear for full camp gold efficiency.
The map has no alcoves, no scuttle crab equivalents from modern design, and no jungle pet auto-attack assistance. Manual clearing with Smite on Summoner Spells defines jungler skill expression.
Camp Damage and Respawn Pace
Riot's July 14 coverage—and the August 3 Survive the Jungle tip video on Survive the Jungle—confirm camps deal more damage than modern players expect and respawn much faster. New junglers dying to Blue buff is a rite of passage—buy Health Potions with Hunter's Machete unless you are Warwick with innate sustain.
Faster respawn cycles reward efficient pathing and punish idle junglers who fail to chain camps. Compare timing against Pacing vs Modern where modern junglers enjoy gentler camp tuning.
Wriggle's Lantern Meta
Wriggle's Lantern returns as the iconic jungler item providing lifesteal, attack damage, and a ward active for vision control. Riot's Survive the Jungle tips prioritize Madred's Razors or Spirit Stone on the first recall before you finish the full lantern line.
Pair Wriggle's with Madred's Bloodrazor on Warwick builds FeralPony showcased in the Dev Update video. AP Master Yi junglers skip lantern for Mejai's snowball routes on AP Master Yi Build.
Pathing and Gank Timings
Standard Season 3 pathing: buff camps into wraiths or wolves into gank at level 3–4. Tri-brush gank paths from Summoner's Rift enable classic jungler routes Blitzcrank and Amumu exploited in MSI showmatch.
Track enemy jungler through ward placement on Controls. Jungler tier priorities on Jungle prioritize Master Yi, Amumu, and Lee Sin at Classic launch.
