The July 14, 2026 Dev Update: Classic, Mayhem & More covered more than Classic mode. Pabro and Meddler confirmed the next Hall of Legends inductee reveal for August 17, 2026—with accompanying skins and a dedicated pass going live September 10.
Hall of Legends honors League's most iconic professional players with commemorative skins and content. The August reveal timing places it between Classic's July 29 launch and Partner Program applications opening in September.
Timeline and What to Expect
August 17: Riot reveals the next Hall of Legends inductee during Season 3 Act One. September 10: inductee skins and Hall of Legends Pass become available in the Shop. Exact inductee identity was not disclosed in the July Dev Update—watch official Riot channels for the August announcement.
Hall of Legends content is separate from League Classic cosmetics. Classic Skins, Portraits, and Chromas remain Classic-mode exclusive on Portraits & Chromas. Hall of Legends skins apply to live Summoner's Rift champions.
Season 3 Context
Season 3 Act One celebrates League history through multiple channels: League Classic restores early gameplay, ARAM Mayhem Classic-ish provides limited nostalgia chaos, and Hall of Legends honors competitive legends. Together they form Riot's 2026 nostalgia and celebration strategy outlined on Season 3 Act One.
Classic players interested in both modes can progress Classic Pass on Summoner's Journey while separately purchasing Hall of Legends content on live servers. No cross-progression between the two systems was announced.
